The Washington Township Board of Supervisor’s met at the Municipal Building on November 15, 2021.

All Supervisors were present.

Chairman Dan McGregor called the meeting to order at 7:00 P.M. with the Pledge of Allegiance to the flag.

The minutes from the previous meeting were read. Supervisor Dan McGregor made a motion to approve the minutes as read. Supervisor Ralph McGregor seconded the motion.

The Treasurer’s report was read. Supervisor Dan McGregor made a motion to approve the Treasurer’s Report as read and to be filed for audit. Supervisor Harlen Anderson, Jr. seconded the motion.

Supervisor Dan McGregor read the following reports. Penn State Health Life Lion EMS responded to 196 calls for the month of October, 6 were in Washington Township. Northern York County Fire Rescue EMS responded to 50 calls for the month of October, none were in Washington Township. Wellsville Fire Company responded to 25 calls for the month with 1 in the township. Northeast Adams Fire & EMS responded to 32 calls, 3 were in the township. The ambulance service has been taken over by Community Life Team EMS. No report was submitted.

Subdivision Plans:

Supervisor Ralph McGregor made a motion to approve the subdivision for Karen Truex and Michael Smith, parcels LC-15C and LC-15D, as presented. This plan is to change the property line by 20’. Supervisor Harlen Anderson, Jr. seconded the motion.

Business from the Floor:

There was no business presented.

Old Business:

Supervisor Dan McGregor made a motion to adopt the 2022 Budget as advertised. Supervisor Harlen Anderson, Jr. seconded the motion.

The Supervisors discussed Ordinance 2021-01, amending Riding Academy or Boarding Stable. They agreed to have the ordinance state 2 acres per horse. Solicitor Sharon Myers will advertise the ordinance so the Supervisors can take action at December’s meeting.

Supervisor Ralph McGregor made a motion to table the Grove Lane abandonment issue.

New Business:

Supervisor Harlen Anderson, Jr. made a motion to approve Resolution 2021-06 appointing Dan McGregor as Designated Agent for Washington Township for DR-4618 funding from the damages from the Ida Storm.

Supervisors Dan McGregor announced candidates for 2023 Transportation Improvements from the YCPC. Creek Rd in Washington Township is on the list. YCPC would like to hear from residents. Surveys can be completed at https://www.ycpc.org/159/Transportation-Improvement-Program:

Solicitor’s Report:

Solicitor Sharon Myers asked Supervisors if they are ready to advertise the Cable Franchise Agreement yet. They are not and she will provide them with more information pertaining to the agreement.

Supervisor Ralph McGregor made a motion to pay the bills out of the General Funds Account totaling

$13,673.18 and the State Account totaling $19,239.97. Supervisor Harlen Anderson, Jr. seconded the motion.

Supervisor Harlen Anderson, Jr. made a motion to adjourn the meeting at 7:40 P. M. Supervisor Dan McGregor seconded the motion.
