The Washington Township Board of Supervisor’s met at the Municipal Building on September 20, 2021.

All Supervisors were present

Chairman Dan McGregor called the meeting to order at 7:00 P.M. with the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag.

Supervisor Dan McGregor made a motion to approve the August minutes as read. Supervisor Ralph McGregor seconded the motion.

The Treasurer’s report was read and approved by Supervisor Dan McGregor to be filed for audit. Supervisor Harlen Anderson, Jr. seconded the motion.

Supervisor Dan McGregor read the following reports. Penn State Health Life Lion EMS had 193 calls for the month of August, 7 calls were in Washington Township. One of the calls was not handled by Penn State. Northern York County Fire Rescue EMS responded to 57 calls for the month, 2 were in the Township. Wellsville Fire Company responded to 41 calls for the month, 3 were in the Township. Northeast Adams Fire & EMS responded to 48 calls and 5 were in the Township. The ambulance responded to 108 calls, 10 were in the township.

Subdivision Plans:

Attorney Susanne Griest presented updated plans for the Margret Yost Estate on Blue Hill School Rd. The subdivision is to separate a modular home from the homestead, which are currently both on the same parcel KD-16A. The original subdivision was submitted in 1996, but never completed. York County Planning Commission did sign this plan. Supervisor Ralph McGregor made a motion to approve the plans with the condition that there is only 1 (one) building right remaining with the homestead. Supervisor Harlen Anderson, Jr. seconded the motion.

Supervisor Harlen Anderson, Jr. made a motion to have the Secretary sign the Non-Building Waiver.

Supervisor Ralph McGregor seconded the motion.

Business from the Floor:

Residents John Peters and Rosalie Pakenham commented on issues that need to be address with the Comcast renewal agreement, mainly more service area in the Township.

Old Business:

Supervisor Dan McGregor reminded residents of Fall Clean Up on September 30^th from 8-3:30 and October 2^nd 8-12:00.

New Business:

Supervisor Harlen Anderson, Jr. made a motion to have the Secretary advertise the Budget Preparation Meeting for October 5^th at 9:00 A.M. Supervisor Ralph McGregor seconded the motion.

Supervisor Harlen Anderson, Jr. made a motion to approve the Pension Municipal Requirement and Municipal Obligation for 2022. Supervisor Ralph McGregor seconded the motion.

Supervisor Harlen Anderson, Jr. made a motion to approve the 2022 SPCA agreement at the same cost as last year for $1,377.11. Supervisors Dan McGregor seconded the motion.

Supervisor Ralph McGregor made a motion to renew the Hanover Area Chamber of Commerce membership at a cost of $350.00. Supervisor Dan McGregor seconded the motion.

Supervisor Harlen Anderson, Jr. made a motion to renew the Quick Book Consultant Contract with Mary Coble, same terms as last year. Supervisor Ralph McGregor seconded the motion.

Solicitor’s Report:

Solicitor Sharon Myers stated that the York County Planning Commission will be reviewing the amended Riding Academy or Boarding Stable Ordinance on September 21. Comments should be back for Washington Township Planning Commission’s next meeting.

Supervisor Dan McGregor made a motion to pay the bills out of the General Funds Account totaling $15,814.53 and the State Account totaling $4,632.78. Supervisor Harlen Anderson, Jr. seconded the motion.

Supervisor Harlen Anderson, Jr. made a motion to adjourn the meeting 8:20 P.M. Supervisor Ralph McGregor seconded the motion.
