The Washington Township Board of Supervisor’s met at the Municipal Building on June 21, 2021

All Supervisors were present.

Chairman Dan McGregor called the meeting to order at 7:00 P.M.

Supervisor Ralph McGregor made a motion to approve the May minutes as read. Supervisor Harlen Anderson, Jr. seconded the motion.

The Treasurer’s report was read and approved by Supervisor Harlen Anderson, Jr. to be filed for audit. Supervisor Dan McGregor seconded the motion.

Supervisor Dan McGregor read the following reports. For May, Penn State Health Life Lion responded to 144 calls for the month, 5 calls were in Washington Township. Northern York County Fire Rescue EMS responded to 47 calls total with 2 in the Township. Wellsville Fire Company had a total of 25 calls, 2 were in the Township. Northeast Adams Fire & EMS responded to 38 calls for the month and 4 were in the Township. The Ambulance responded to 105 calls and 12 were in the Township.

Subdivision Plans:

Supervisor Ralph McGregor made a motion to have the Secretary sign the Planning & Non-Building Waiver for Ralph McGregor’s subdivision, parcel KD-44. This is land only on Creek Rd. Supervisor Harlen Anderson, Jr. seconded the motion. Supervisor Harlen Anderson, Jr. made a motion to approve the plans as presented. The subdivision is for a lot to be added to parcel KD-44A at 46 Creek Rd. Supervisor Dan McGregor seconded the motion.

Business from the Floor:

Resident John Peters on Bermudian Church Rd asked if anything can be done about the lack of internet service in his area. Supervisor Dan McGregor happened to have information that was on the agenda. It was from York County Commissioners for a survey for all York County residents. The survey is to gather information for areas of need of internet service in York County. Residents should go to www.YoCoFiber.com to complete the survey.

Old Business:

There was no old business to discuss.

New Business:

Supervisor Ralph McGregor made a motion to appoint Mike Stermer to the Ag Security Board to fill the vacancy. Supervisor Harlen Anderson, Jr. seconded the motion.

Supervisor Dan McGregor informed residents there will be a book salesman in the Township from June 21-August 1. He did notify the Township with all the required information. He will also be in some of the neighboring townships.

Supervisor Ralph McGregor thanked Solicitor Sharon Myers for her work on acquiring the property next door to the Township. He gave a special thank you to the Road Crew for an excellent job at cleaning up the property. Supervisor Dan McGregor thanked Byron Waggoner for the use of his equipment to do the work as well as his dumpsters and the removal of them. This was a big savings to the Township.

He also thanked Jimmy Eisenhour for sending someone to prepare the ground so they could plant grass seed.

Solicitor’s Report:

Solicitor Sharon Myers commented on the proposed wording for the CAP and COM review processes, that York County Planning provided. She suggested having the Township’s Planning Commission review and when the Supervisors decide on the correct wording, she can advertise to update the current SALDO showing the new procedures. She also commented that the Governor’s COVID Emergency Declaration has ended, and the Township should go back to pre-declaration conditions.

Supervisor Ralph McGregor made a motion to pay the bills out of the General Funds Account totaling

$12,352.84 and the State Account totaling $ 2,101.43 Supervisor Dan McGregor seconded the motion.

Supervisor Harlen Anderson, Jr. made a motion to adjourn the meeting at 7:32 P.M. Supervisor Dan McGregor seconded the motion.
