The Washington Township Board of Supervisor’s met at the Municipal Building on July 15, 2019.

All Supervisors were present.

Chairman Dan McGregor called the meeting to order at 7:30 P.M.

Everyone stood for the Pledge of Allegiance to the flag.

Supervisor Dan McGregor made a motion to approve the June minutes as read. Supervisor Harlen Anderson, Jr. seconded the motion.

The Treasurer’s report was read and approved by Supervisor Dan McGregor to be filed for audit. Supervisor Harlen Anderson, Jr. seconded the motion.

Supervisor Dan McGregor read the following reports. Geisinger EMS responded to 151 calls for the month of June, 7 were in Washington Township. Northern York County Fire Rescue EMS responded to 36 calls, 6 were in the Township. Wellsville Fire Company responded to 26 calls with 4 in the Township. Northeast Adams Fire & EMS responded to 29 calls for the month and 6 were in the Township. The Ambulance responded to 99 calls and 10 were in the Township.

Subdivision Plans:

Supervisor Ralph McGregor made a motion to approve the Subdivision Plans as presented by Audrey Lighty for parcel JD-28 & JD-28M. Supervisor Harlen Anderson, Jr. seconded the motion. The Planning Commission did approve, pending owner’s signature, notarization and the comment added to plans that there are no more building rights for either parcel.

Business from the Floor:

Residents Peter & Rosalie Fraser shared a letter they wrote about their concern of a helicopter flying low over there house, which was spraying crops. They were advised by Supervisor Ralph McGregor to contact the landowner, the farmer and PA Dept of Agricultural, Pesticide Department.

Resident Caroll Myers commented on the wonderful job of the Milford Green Rd Bridge and the road repair the Township’s Road Crew did. She also informed Supervisors of the tall grass and weeds at the intersection of Pondtown Rd and Baltimore Pike. The Secretary will contact Penn Dot again about this.

Old Business:

There was no old business.

New Business:

Supervisor Ralph McGregor made a motion to set the Fall Clean-Up Dates as follows; Thursday October 3rd from 8:00 A.M. until 3:30 P.M., Friday October 4th from 8:00 A.M. until noon and Saturday October 5th from 7:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. Supervisor Dan McGregor seconded the motion.

Solicitor’s Report:

Solicitor Sharon Myers had nothing additional to report.

Supervisor Dan McGregor made a motion to pay the bills out of the General Funds Account totaling

$ 4,538.18 and the State Account totaling $ 9,772.29. Supervisor Harlen Anderson, Jr. seconded the motion.

Supervisor Harlen Anderson, Jr. made a motion to adjourn the meeting at 8:06 P.M. Supervisor Ralph McGregor seconded the motion.
