The Washington Township Board of Supervisor’s met at the Municipal Building on June 20, 2019.

All Supervisors were present.

Chairman Dan McGregor called the meeting to order at 7:30 P.M.

Everyone stood for the Pledge of Allegiance to the flag.

Supervisor Dan McGregor made a motion to approve the May minutes as read. Supervisor Harlen Anderson, Jr. seconded the motion.

The Treasurer’s report was read and approved by Supervisor Dan McGregor to be filed for audit. Supervisor Harlen Anderson, Jr. seconded the motion.

Supervisor Dan McGregor read the following reports for May. Geisinger EMS responded to 154 calls for the month, 7 calls were in Washington Township. Northern York County Fire Rescue EMS responded to 43 calls total with 5 in the Township. Wellsville Fire Company responded to 37 calls, 6 in the Township. Northeast Adams Fire & EMS responded to 34 calls for the month and 5 were in the Township. The Ambulance responded to 88 calls and 7 were in the Township.

Subdivision Plans:

Supervisor Ralph McGregor made a motion to have the Secretary sign the Planning & Non-Building Waiver for Audrey Light’s subdivision for Parcel JD-28 & JD 28 (M). Supervisor Dan McGregor seconded the motion.

Business from the Floor:

A resident asked if there was an ordinance in the Township pertaining to residents blowing grass clippings on to the roads. She is concerned about the hazards this causes. The Supervisors said there is no ordinance at this time but have recently been contacted about the same matter. Supervisor Ralph McGregor said a notice could be added to the website warning residents not to do this.

Resident Ralph Dixon was present to inform residents that he has completed the Master Well Owner Program. Any resident with questions, please feel free to contact him. He also informed the Supervisors that he has mailed a check for the SEO services related to his complaint about his neighbor’s sand mound. The issue has not been resolved yet and he is not willing to pay further charges.

Supervisor Ralph McGregor said on Election Day he was told by several residents that they appreciated Clean-up being extended to Saturdays.

Old Business:

There was no old business.

New Business:

Supervisor Harlen Anderson, Jr. made a motion to approve Resolution 2019-05, a Corporate Authorization for a credit card with ACNB. This card is needed to pay certain liabilities or purchases made over the internet. Supervisor Ralph McGregor seconded the motion.

Solicitor’s Report:

Solicitor Sharon Myers had nothing additional to discuss other than she needed a brief executive session after the meeting to discuss a property.

Supervisor Harlen Anderson, Jr. made a motion to pay the bills out of the General Funds Account totaling $ 5,504.89 and the State Account totaling $ 8,089.63. Supervisor Ralph McGregor seconded the motion.

Supervisor Dan McGregor made a motion to adjourn the meeting at 7:55 P.M. Supervisor Ralph McGregor seconded the motion.
